Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Smart Shot (“the game”) handles, why, and what choices you have. The game is made by SmartGek Studio (“we”, “us”). We built the game to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts and no analytics. The free version shows occasional full-screen ads between games, served by Google AdMob; players who buy “Remove Ads” see no ads.
The short version

We do
- Save your game progress on your own device
- Use Google Play to process in-app purchases
- Receive a purchase record from Google Play so we can unlock what you bought
- Show an occasional ad between games, served by Google AdMob
- Ask for your consent to personalised ads where the law requires it
Information the game handles
Game progress and settings
Your scores, unlocked levels, in-game currency and settings (such as sound on or off) are stored locally on your device. This data is not sent to us or to any server we operate.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. When you buy something, Google processes the payment and gives the game a purchase record containing the product ID, an order ID, a purchase token and the purchase status. The game uses this only to deliver and restore the items you paid for. We never receive your name, card number, billing address or other payment details. Google’s handling of payment information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the game shows a full-screen ad now and then when you start a new game after finishing one. No ads appear while you are playing. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To choose and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the game collects information such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. This information is sent to Google, not to us, and Google uses it as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive information that identifies you.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent tool. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → About → Privacy Settings. On any Android device you can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Settings under Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads). If you buy “Remove Ads”, the game stops showing ads.
Information collected by Google Play
Because the game is distributed through Google Play, Google may collect technical information such as device model, Android version, crash reports and install statistics, and may share aggregated or anonymised reports with us through the Google Play Console. This collection is carried out by Google under its own privacy policy, and we use these reports only to fix bugs and improve performance.
How we use information
| Information | Purpose | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings | Letting you continue where you left off | Your device only |
| Purchase record | Delivering and restoring purchased items | Your device and Google Play |
| Advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions | Showing and measuring ads in the free version | Google AdMob |
| Crash and performance reports | Finding and fixing problems | Google Play Console (aggregated) |
Where data protection law such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing purchase records is performance of a contract (giving you what you bought), for crash reports it is our legitimate interest in keeping the game working, and for personalised advertising it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Privacy Settings.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. The only third party involved in running the game is Google, as the operator of Google Play, Google Play Billing and Google AdMob. We may disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and deleting your data
Game progress stays on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the game, which deletes it permanently. Purchase history is kept by Google as part of your Google account; you can view it under Payments & subscriptions in the Google Play Store app. Because we don’t hold personal data on our own servers, there is nothing further for us to delete, but you can contact us with any request and we will respond.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 3, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). California residents have the right to know what is collected and to ask for deletion; we do not sell personal information. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may use your advertising ID for ads, which you can reset or turn off in your device settings. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
Security
Payments and ads are handled over Google’s secure systems, and the game does not transmit your progress anywhere. No method of storage is completely secure, but we keep the information we handle to the minimum needed.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes how it handles information, for example by adding online features, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
